Job Description | One of the reputed University in Bahrain invites applicants for the position of Dean in Business Administration. Responsibilities: - Implement university policies and procedures within the college. - Execute decisions made by university and college councils. - Compose internal committees and approve departmental recommendations. - Supervise the teaching process and ensure excellence in performance. - Manage course registrations and approve courses offered each semester. - Prepare the college's annual budget proposal and supervise the research plan. - Contribute to university-wide strategic planning and supervise academic reviews. - Perform other duties as assigned by the university president or vice president for academic affairs. |
Job Profile | Qualification Required: - Ph.D. in Business Administration or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution. Teaching Experience: - Minimum of 4 years of academic experience after obtaining his/her PhD. - Have appropriate academic and administrative experience enabling him to manage the institution. - Good conduct and no criminal convictions. - Fit in terms of health. - Not to exceed 60 years of age when taking office. - No involvement in political associations or activities. - Not holding ownership or shares in the institution, or any conflicts of interest. Preferred Qualifications: - High administrative, guiding, and decision-making skills. - Ability to create and maintain effective work relationships. - Adaptability to changes. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong record in research and scholarly activities. Terms of Office: - In accordance with the regulations of the Higher Education Council, the term of office of the Dean shall be four years renewable once upon approval by the Higher Education Council.
