One of the reputed University in Qatar invites applicants for the position of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in General Surgery.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Develop and oversee the curriculum for general surgery education.

- Assess and evaluate student performance.

- Provide support and development opportunities for faculty members.

- Manage clinical sites to ensure educational and safety standards are met.

- Design and update clerkship curriculum to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical clinical skills.

- Provide feedback to students on their performance.

- Recruit faculty and support their professional development.

- Ensure clinical sites meet educational and safety standards.

- Identify gaps in critical functions relevant to clinical education and training and implement policies and procedures to address them.

- Implement measures for program evaluation.

Requirements:

- Medical degree (MD, MBBS, MBChB, MBBCh) from a recognized institution.

- Board certification in a relevant specialty.

- Membership/Fellowship of the Royal College in the relevant clinical specialty.

- Preferred experience and/or scholarship in medical education.

- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the relevant field.

- Excellence in teaching within a medical college, preferably in an innovative, student-centered integrated curriculum using Problem-Based Learning (PBL) strategies.

- Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably Arabic.
