Job Description

An esteemed hospital in Saudi Arabia is welcoming applications from experienced and dedicated professionals for the position of Consultant Anesthesiology.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Clinical Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality patient care in all aspects of Anesthesiology according to approved clinical privileges.

- Offer consultation services (inpatient and emergency room) promptly and within prescribed timeframes.

- Ensure timely completion, accuracy, and legibility of medical records.

- Provide on-call services and maintain availability as per hospital policy.

- Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for transfer/discharge.

- Perform other clinical responsibilities as assigned.

Academic Responsibilities:

- Orient, train, and supervise junior staff as assigned.

- Participate in departmental educational activities and training programs.

- Maintain and enhance professional knowledge through continuing education.

Research Responsibilities:

- Participate in clinical, basic, and translational research projects to advance knowledge and contribute to medical education.

Administrative Responsibilities:

- Undertake administrative duties assigned by Head of Section or Chairman.

- Participate in departmental and hospital committees and activities.

- Assist in the development and implementation of techniques to maximize resource utilization.

- Abide by hospital and medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies.

- Follow hospital-related policies and procedures.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Profile

Requirements:

- Graduation from an accredited medical school.

- Completion of required training in Anesthesiology specialty/subspecialty.

- Arab or American Board certification, membership, and/or fellowship status in the United Kingdom and/or Canada, or their equivalent.

- Seven years of training in specialty or subspecialty, with postgraduate training experience equal to or exceeding seven years in the subspecialty.
