One of the reputed University in OMAN requires Assistant/Associate Professor in Civil Engineering (Structural Engg / Environmental Engg).
Duties:
1. Teach academic courses in the field of specialization according to quality standards.
2. Supervise graduation research and postgraduate theses (Master's and Ph.D.).
3. Conduct and publish scientific research in the field of specialization.
4. Strengthen the relationship between the university and the community through academic and research activities.
5. Contribute to the development of academic policies and implement academic and research quality assurance standards.

Qualification and Experience:
Ph.D. from a reputable university and have at least 5 years of relevant experience and proven excellence in teaching, research and community engagement.
A. Structural Engineering:

Excellent academic credentials in the area of structural engineering in particular rehabilitation of Structures, design and analysis of Concrete / Steel structures, and proficiency in using different structural design software.

Formal training and applied research in the broad area of structural engineering.

A record of research productivity, including publications in peer-reviewed journals in related fields.

A strong record of teaching, including effective teaching skills at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Proficiency in relevant material testing and analysis methods.

Professional registration in the area of expertise is advantageous.
B. Environmental Engineering:
-
Demonstrated expertise in Environmental Engineering in fundamental engineering principles and environmental science, with a strong record of academic or professional experience.

Teaching experience and interest in teaching core undergraduate and graduate courses, such as: Water and wastewater treatment; Principles and design of water and wastewater treatment plants, including chemical, physical and biological processes; Air pollution control; Solid and hazardous waste management; Environmental chemistry; Environmental microbiology and Sustainable development and green engineering; advanced air/water quality engineering and Environmental impact assessment.

A record of research productivity, including publications in peer-reviewed journals, in related fields.

Proficiency in relevant testing and analysis methods.

Professional licensing in the area of expertise is advantageous.
